Changing Baby.

my baby just turned 3 months and he's confusing now. Before when he was hungry he would open his mouth and shake his head side to side. But now he doesn't do that and chews on his hands all the time and I don't know when he's hungry or just tired or just wants attention. I try everything else before i feed him just to make sure and he's already a fat boy i don't need anyone telling me i'm over feeding him or just feeding him anytime he cries but damn i'm confused. and if he is hungry by the time i finally get to try feeding him he's so hungry he's screaming while i'm rushing to get everything

I had a son in December 2023, and he acts like this.

Omg! I’m going thru the same thing. When I offer my breast, she doesn’t take it. It makes me sad becus I’m trying to feed her & she’s fighting it. Idk what to do :/

He’s discovering his hands so that’s why he’s chewing on them, my lil one is doing the same thing right now. There’s no such things as over feeding, sometimes they just wanna be held 🫶🏽 or comfort feed.

my son is 2 months and his hunger cues are the same as his gas cues which is so confusing but i usually feed him and watch the clock and if i try everything else and he still won’t stay satisfied i’ll feed him a bit more. my breastfed baby loves to snack and suckle. you got this mama!

Feeding on demand is the best! But at 3 months he may be ready for a schedule (don't kill me). It may help with troubleshooting and identifying when's he's truly hungry as he gets more complex needs/wants?

I've heard tight fists and a certain sound in their cry indicate that they are hungry. You could look into that if you're looking for something a bit more "scientific"
