Full time nursery guilt :(

Hey so I’ve recently had a job offer and it is the perfect job, it’s in my sons primary school (that he will go to in a few years) it’s 2mins away from home and has a lovely preschool for my son when he’s 3, but the job is 5 days a week which means he will be in nursery 5 days and I feel so guilty.. although it will only be from about 8am-330pm and grandmas may be able to pick up some afternoons but oh my I feel so sad and guilty for leaving him Are any other babas in nursery full time and how’s it gone for you?! In need of reassurance!!

So it means the weekends will be more special because that’s then your time. Nursery is great for baby development which you’ll know xx

Maybe you could ask for a year of 4 days a week and go full time when he’s older .. you never know they might have some flex.. talk to them about it?

My son has been at full-time nursery (8-6, 5 days) since he was 9 months old. I was really worried about it to start with, but he's absolutely thrived and is such a confident and sociable little boy. The key is finding a good nursery where you have absolutely no doubts about leaving them. My son loves nursery and now he's a bit older he tells us all about the friends he has there and the games they play. Nursery are so good at getting them into a routine and helping with things like fussy eating or potty training. I have friends at work who use a combination of nursery and grandparents and they much prefer the days their little one is in nursery!

My little one started full time nursery just before he turned 1 as we need my salary as I earn a lot more. It was tough at first (the crying and mum guilt!) but he loves it now and has so much fun. It means that weekends are extra special for us now

In my country if kids go to nursery they go full time from 8 til 4 there is no part time nursery options and people very rarely can find part time jobs 95% of the jobs are full time. They is also a MUST HAVE to go there at the age of 3. If there is a parent who is not working it's really hard to live with that money what they get. Minimum wage is not more than £500 and the groceries and ect cost the same as here in the UK. So don't feel quilty as in other countries this is the normal. Accept the job! This really seem the perfect one for you 😊

Your son is a beautiful little boy by the way 😍

Hi, mine has been going full time as well since she was 9 months old. In terms of development, rules and quality of time spent after nursery I agree with above mommas. However, save some parents'leave because he might get sick more often 😞😂😂😂😛 but apparently it's good for his immune system 🤣😊

🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️ thank you all!!! Feeling reassured!!
