@Caroline nope! all the walkers for the other people was there and it kept falling down the walk space so he told me i had to get off
One of the reasons I brought a second hand mcclaren as used the buses quite a bit in London.
This is such a frustrating situation but if you’re in the wheelchair space you do need to give it up for a wheelchair user. But I’m sorry you had to wait in the middle of nowhere for an hour with your baby. I had to get off once for a wheelchair user but luckily didn’t have to wait as long. I hope you didn’t have to pay for another ticket when you got on your next bus, as that’s always a pain. They really need to make more room for prams on buses/trains
@Rhianna i definitely didnt mind giving up the space, im just mad theres not enough space for us both on a bus, and the fact i had to wait an hour in somewhere i didnt know but he had just came out of his house and yes i did have to buy another ticket!🫠
I think the bus driver was only doing what he had to do. However it is crap that there aren’t more spaces for pushchairs on buses and it’s even more crap to have to get off somewhere you’re unfamiliar with with a young child. This is why I won’t go on a bus at the moment. I have a newborn so folding up a pram whilst holding a newborn would be physically impossible.
@Meaghan definitely! i just wish there was more space for us on the bus because things like that happen!
Unfortunately, I think you have to give it up but I also think bus drivers should be able to produce a free ticket to give you if you HAVE to get off due to no seats available and you where already on the bus and paid. I am sorry that happened 😔 It sounds very frustrating but your feelings are valid here with being kicked off and having to buy another ticket.
It really sucks but you were in the wheelchair space so the driver had to make that decision. They'd literally be risking being sued if they prevented the wheelchair user from using the wheelchair space. Was there no way you could've folded the pram down and sat down with baby?
