Honestly, there is so much 'noise' on what you should and shouldn't do as a parent. Having my second child, I've learnt to take most of the 'advice' with a pinch of salt. I mean purees leading to speech delay? Come on.. I've never heard that one, but wow 🤦♀️. My first had purees, and he is basically a mini adult with his talking. Glad your little one enjoyed it! With my first he had purees at 5 months and loved it! Up until those typical toddler food refusal moments, he was an amazing eater and ate everything (except brocoli, which strangely enough, he absolutely loves now!). He has almost come out of that refusal stage and is eating so well again.
I fed my first really food at 4m. He loved it. And is a huge eater now
I did everything “right” and ended up with the worlds fussiest toddler so I’d take what other people say with a grain of salt and do what you think is right
The main reason doctors say to wait until 6 months simply is because babies digestive systems are not developed enough to handle food yet. We started at 6.5 months because I felt like my son was ready and was showing all the signs of being ready.
