Going away without kids

Hey girls I have a question! Have any of you gone away without your little ones before and not felt guilty? My hubby and I are on our honeymoon in the Gold Coast and we left our son who’s 20 months old with my mum (his nana) who he adores, so our sons back in SA. I have felt guilty the whole time we have been away without him we got here Monday and we leave tomorrow (Saturday). I just don’t know why I feel guilty for it. Is this normal?

Totally normal but try not to 💖 we went away for our 10 year wedding anniversary I felt awful the whole time and my daughter had the time of her life as did my in laws who had her - great bonding experience they loved it. Enjoy the rest of your time congratulations on the wedding xx

@Charlotte thank you heaps for this. I don’t like feeling like this but glad I’m not alone with it. I just cannot wait to go see my son! Thank you so much it has been a lovely time away ngl 🩷🩷

It is normal. Pls don’t feel guilty. You are also a daughter, wife and friend before being a Mum. You also have a life that needs to be enjoyed. A happy mum is much more important to your baby. ❤️
