So the first couple of days are absolute chaos. What worked for us: Basically stay in the house, naked, and keep a really close watch - as soon as she goes, get her on the potty. It’s all about a) making the link for her between peeing and the potty, and b) working out roughly how often she needs to go. Lots of praise when you get a wee on the potty. Days 3, 4, 5, were basically me sitting him on the toilet first thing in a morning, and then before snack, before a walk, before nap, etc etc “it’s time for a wee, then wash our hands, then we will have a snack”. We moved into trousers (no pants) and managed to get out the house for a walk locally. Day 6 we managed a trip to the park and a travel potty wee! It only got easier from there. We are 6 weeks in and I’m not sure whether he would consistently tell me he needs to go, but he will sometimes say and between that and natural prompting (ie before leaving the house) we haven’t had accidents in weeks. It does take time.
Happened to my son too on first day but next couple days he was better at holding it in ans wasn’t dripping everywhere 😂
