Contraception

Iv recently gone back onto the pill but I’m finding it hard to remember to take it and when I do take it I feel like my body isn’t getting along with it at all I keep thinking about natural cycles but I find it all very confusing🤦🏻‍♀️ my little boy is nearly 1 and we want to wait a few years before we try for another, is natural cycles a good form of contraception we are very careful using condoms but I also know nothing is 100% Also if you did when did you go back onto contraception?

I went on pill on 4th July. Taken every day 9am. I just set an alarm on my phone. At first I felt horrible as i was still bleeding on and off for a few months but it settled down and now I get on with it great

I take mine at night before bed, when brushing teeth - roughly same time every night

I did natural contraception before I got pregnant but didn't know when I could trust it again after the baby. We really don't want another one at the moment. So I went on the hormone coil, I think 4 months pp. I get on really well with it. Still have libido, no massive weight gain, no mood swings, no bad skin, period is now minimal and might go completely. There was a period after its inserted where I bled for like 2 months or so. But that is normal and can happen. It does stop though 😂

I found Natural Cycles difficult to use as you have to take your temperature immediately when you wake up and it has to be after a good stretch of sleep whereas I typically wake a while before my alarm, pop to the loo and then go back to sleep for a while. It also would be tricky now with baby as if he woke me up in the morning I’d have to take my temperature before going to him.
