Has anyone had a D&C for removal uterine polyps before (or just in general)? My doctor recommends I have one for heavy bleeding during periods and breakthrough bleeding every month and I’m nervous about having it done.
Hi love 🤍 I have had an emergency D&C due to miscarriage and it was a very smooth surgery! I would say expect recovery to be a bit hard. Everyone kept saying that after surgery you’ll be very sore and feel like a truck ran over you.. unfortunately it’s true :( I didn’t believe it but it’s true. So please prepare yourself to be in bed and resting for like 3-4 days after, until your body recovers from going under whole body anesthesia. You know that feeling when your neck is stiff? Well that’s a similar feeling but I felt that throughout my body the day after. So please prepare yourself with some help or have everything you need close by, if possible. But always remember that it’s temporary pain and it’ll be over sooner than later, Gw🤍
